Neil Harris, the manager who had the Lions comfortably placed in mid-table, has resigned from his position at Millwall. His departure, followed what was perceived as criticism of some supporters after the Lions' match against Coventry, which they lost 1-0. The South London club are actively seeking a successor to Harris who was in his second permanent spell at the Den. This significant change in leadership will have an impact and the club needs to find a replacement asap. All the best betting sites including BetVictor will be offering the next Millwall manager betting odds.

There are instances when these odds might not be readily available for certain clubs. This could be because the position has only recently been filled, the club is currently performing exceptionally well, or the club has a strong history of standing by its manager through thick and thin.

Additionally, in some cases, the Millwal manager's position might be vacant, but there are strong indications or even rumours about the potential replacement. Despite these unique circumstances, it is worth noting that if betting odds do become available, we will present them here in this section for your convenience. Regular updates related to the manager's position can also be found in the dedicated sports betting news section expertly managed by Jake Ashton. So, keep an eye out for any developments as we strive to keep you informed on the latest happenings in the football managerial landscape.

Who Will Be The Next Manager of Millwall

Here are some mini-summaries for managers quoted by the bookies when there was a Millwall vacancy previously + current Lions candidates.

Matt Bloomfield

Matt Bloomfield was appointed at Wycombe Wanderers in February 2023 when the legend that is Gareth Ainsworth left for Queens Park Rangers.

Bloomfield who played over 480 games for Wycombe became the 26th Chairboys manager.

Gary Rowett

Gary Rowett is a well-known English football manager and former player, renowned for his tactical acumen and ability to revitalize teams.

He enjoyed a solid playing career as a defender before transitioning into management.

He has managed multiple clubs, including Birmingham City, Derby County, and Stoke City, often stabilizing them and pushing for promotion into higher divisions with a pragmatic approach to the game.

Mark Robins

Mark Robins spent seven years at Coventry City which included guiding the club back into the Championship.

He stabilised the Sky Blues and produced attractive football on a limited budget.

Robins left the West Midlands much to many Cov supporters anger in November 2024.

Steve Cooper

A rollercoaster of a managerial career has seen Welshman Cooper manage three clubs (Swansea City, Nottingham Forest, Leicester City) in five years.

His most outstanding achievement was taking Nottingham Forest who were bottom of the Championship when he arrived at the City Ground, into the EPL

Kevin Muscat

The former Millwall player (2003-2005) has forged a successful managerial career away from English football. He has managed four clubs, Melbourne Victory, Sint Truiden in Belgium, Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan and his current club, Shanghai Port in China. In recent times  Muscat has featured towards the head of next-manager betting markets, most notably at Glasgow Rangers.

Mark Kennedy

Another former Millwall player is Mark Kennedy, who is in charge at Swindon Town. It would be a step up to managing a Championship side for the Dublin-born Kennedy, who previously managed Macclesfield Town and Lincoln City.

Michael Beale

Michael Beale had a very minor playing career with no real indication that he would rise to manage at the highest level. He has previously worked at Chelsea, Liverpool, Sao Paulo in Brazil, QPR, Glasgow Rangers and Sunderland.

His current position is as assistant manager to Steven Gerrard at Al- Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia, who he joined in November 2024.

Lee Bowyer

The Canning Town-born midfielder moved into management with his former team, Charlton Athletic, in 2018. He spent three years there and secured promotion to the Championship in 2019.  Unfortunately, the club only lasted one season in the higher tier, and they were relegated back down to League One. Bowyer left the club in March 2021. He moved to Birmingham City, but the results could have been better, and with the club seemingly going nowhere and with no definable style, he was sacked in July 2022. In a real left-field move, Bowyer was appointed to manage the Montserrat National team in September 2023. The Caribbean side plays in the CONCACAF federation.

Chris Hughton

Born in Forest Gate, just 6 miles away from Den, Hughton has managed 5 English Clubs. He has been in charge at Newcastle United, Birmingham City, Brighton, Nottingham Forest, and Norwich City. His lat  position was managing the Ghanaian national team.

Steve Morison

Having played for Millwall nearly 400 times, it is likely that at some time, Steve Morison will at least be considered for the Millwall manager's job. He has had previous experience both as a caretaker and full-time manager at another of his playing clubs in Cardiff City. In 2024 he is plying his trade as manager of Sutton United.

Adam Barrett

The current first-team coach had a short spell as Caretaker after Neil Harris resigned. His three-game record resulted in his side W1 D1 L1.
