Constituency Information

West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine is a UK parliamentary constituency. It elects one MP via the first past the post system.


Established for the 1997 election, its boundaries have since changed. It previously existed as Kincardine and Western Aberdeenshire from 1918-1950. A Scottish Parliament constituency with the same name and initial boundaries was created in 1999.

General Election Betting

The West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine seat was created from Kincardine and Deeside in 1987. In 1950 the Kincardineshire and Aberdeenshire counties were separated again, and a new boundary divided the Aberdeenshire area into East Aberdeenshire and West Aberdeenshire.

  • The turnout for the seat was 73.4% - down 2.2% on 2017
