Arsenal player Bukayo Saka is into 2/1 with bookmakers to win this year's PFA Young Player of the Year award after an impressive season with the Gunners. Saka won March's PFA Fans Player of the Month award for March and his top form shows no sign of stopping going into the end of this campaign.

PFA Young Player Contenders

Erling Haaland

Erling Haaland cost Manchester City a great deal of money (the figures are disputed)  but we know that will put some pressure on such a young player.

We have seen in the past players who join a bigger team from a smaller team find the transition tricky, at the smaller club you are the focus at the other part of a greater winning machine.

He looks to have the quality and temperament for the role but we do need to consider this when taking the early odds for the PFA Young Player of The Year.

Bukayo Saka

Firmly established in the England team the very likeable Sakha needs his Arsenal team to perform if he is to secure the Young Player trophy in 2022/23.

With Jesus arriving from Manchester City, he may find a willing recipient for his brilliant wing play.

Gabriel Martinelli

Martinelli has suffered with injury and maybe wanting to impress too much.

With the Arsenal summer signings they are now looking a more rounded team and this could allow Martinelli to flourish.

Harvey Elliott

With Thiago injured Harvey Elliott has stepped up to the plate with some impressive performances.

He looks naturally gifted and could force his way into Gareth Southgate's World Cup squad.

Antony Gordon

Has starred in a poor Everton side in the early games of the season

With Richarlison gone he has a lot on his shoulders but seems to be coping well, needs to watch his temperament.

William Saliba

The third Arsenal player in the top six in the Young Player betting.

He has looked assured defensively and his distribution has helped Arteta's side, he is playing above his 21 years.

Michael Olise

Firmly in the plans of Crystal Palace boss, Partick Viera Olise made 26 EPL appearances in the 2021/22 season, however when he was selected or came on as a substitute he impressed.

The 2022/23 season should see him build his career especially if Palace do as well or better than last season.

Jacob Ramsey

The 21-year-old recently signed a 4-year extension to his contract at Villa Park keeping him at the club until 2027

Under Steven Gerrard, he can surely only improve although his teammates already know his worth voting him their player of the season.
