Reading FC has had a host of managers in recent times, with many only lasting a year or so. Now Ruben Selles has departed north to Hull City, and we have yet another man at the helm in the shape of former player Noel Hunt. The 41-year-old has signed a contract to manage the Royals up to 2027. The appointment will be his first permanent position after spells as caretaker boss at Swindon (2020) and Reading (2023). If yet another change needs to happen the leading bookmakers will provide the next Reading manager betting odds, with clues as to who is available via the next EFL Championship manager to be sacked blog. Next Reading Manager Odds

There are instances when these odds might not be readily available for certain clubs. This could be because the position has only recently been filled, the club is currently performing exceptionally well, or the club has a strong history of standing by its manager through thick and thin.

Additionally, in some cases, the Reading manager's position might be vacant, but there are strong indications or even rumours about the potential replacement. Despite these unique circumstances, it is worth noting that if betting odds do become available, we will present them here in this section for your convenience. Regular updates related to the manager's position can also be found in the dedicated sports betting news section expertly managed by Jake Ashton. So, keep an eye out for any developments as we strive to keep you informed on the latest happenings in the football managerial landscape.

Who Will Be The Next Reading Manager?

Here are some likely contenders for the Reading manager job when it becomes available. The names below featured in the betting when Paul Ince left the club.

John O’Shea

John O’Shea was part of the Reading backroom staff between 2019 and 2021. The former Manchester United defender has yet to manage a club but has been getting further experience with Stoke City and with the Republic of Ireland national team.

Danny Cowley

If Cowley wa given the Reading job, they would become his 5th football League club after Lincoln Town, Huddersfield, Portsmouth and Colchester.

His best spell and where he forged his reputation came at Lincoln City, where he guided the IMPS to the National League in 2017, the EFL trophy in 2018 and the League Two Championship in 2019.

Gary Monk

Another manager with extensive experience is Gary Monk. He has been in charge of six clubs since he started his managerial journey in 2014 when he was appointed at Swansea City. Since then, the Bedford-born former player has had spells at Sheffield Wednesday, Birmingham City, Leeds United, Middlesbrough, and Cambridge United.
