A History of The Great British Bake Off

The BBC lost a prize asset in The Great British Bake Off when it moved channels in 2017.

The producer of the series Love Productions could not reach an agreement with the BBC and GBBO moved to Channel 4. 

The reaction was mixed with some considering the BBC a natural home for this type of "folksy" series.

However, despite the annoying advertising breaks, Channel 4 seems to have breathed new life into the show.
