First run in 1969, the Charlie Hall Chase is scheduled to take place in either late October or early November of each year at the Wetherby Racecourse.

This Grade 2 steeplechase is open to runners who are aged five or older, with the race being run over around three miles and forty-five yards, in which the runners will face a total of eighteen fences.
