The Brae Chase is scheduled to take place in late January or early February of each year at the Thurles racecourse, this Grade 2 chase is run over a trip of two miles, four and a half furlongs in which fourteen fences are to be jumped.

Whilst for sponsorship purposes the race is known as the Horse & Jockey Hotel Chase it is more commonly known as the Brae Chase and is open to runners aged six or older where mares receive a 7lb allowance.
