Christopher Nolan is the 5/2 favourite to be the next James Bond Director

Betting is now open on the next James Bond Director with bookmakers offering betting odds on who will be the person that pivots the 007 franchise next.

Christopher Nolan is arguably the biggest Director in the world at the minute with the success of his movie Oppenheimer seeing him at 1/10 to win the Best Director Oscar next month.

The British Director has been linked with the Bond franchise on numerous occasions in the past decade and he was asked about the chances of him directing Bond 26.

Nolan told The Associated Press while promoting Oppenheimer that "sadly" there were no truth to the rumours that he would be directing the next films in the franchise.

Paddy Power have Nolan as the 5/2 favourite still though with reports last year from World of Reel saying that he had signed on to direct two Bond films as well as writing them both.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson back into favourite to be the next Bond Actor

Those same reports that linked Nolan to directing the next Bond films also said that he would want Aaron Taylor-Johnson to play the famous character in a fresh spin.

Taylor-Johnson has been a star with Nolan before with the actor featuring in 'Tenet' and with reports back at the start of 2023 suggesting a screen test had taken place it could well happen.

The latest betting odds have moved Taylor-Johnson back into 15/8 to play James Bond next with the betting market putting him ahead of Happy Valley star James Norton.

Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga joint favourites to sing the next Bond theme

The James Bond theme is one of the most iconic crossover roles between cinema and music and odds are also being offered on who will sing the next theme.

Some huge singers feature in the betting market with Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga the current joint favourites at 10/3 to sing the theme.

They've got big shoes to fill though with the last theme, No Time To Die, by Billie Eilish and brother Finneas winning Best Original Song at the Oscars.

Bond themes have won the Best Original Song Oscar on three occasions with No Time To Die following the themes from Skyfall and Spectre in winning.
