German Masters 2025: Draw and Results
Kyren Wilson won his third title of the season when just edging out Barry Hawkins in an extremely tight battle for the 2025 German Masters.
Wilson started well, winning the first two frames of the day but that was the only time in the match that any player was two frames in front. The first session was nip and tuck with both players scoring a century but with Hawkins ending the session with a 5-4 lead.
Wilson came back after the interval and won the first two frames of the evening but after that frames were shared until Wilson lead 9-8. In the eighteenth frame Hawkins held his nerve well for an excellent clearance to set up a final frame decider. Both players looked nervous intially but Wilson capitalised on a missed long red by Hawkins and put in a cool 59 break to take the title and the £100,000 first prize.
Winning the German Masters has cemented Kyren Wilson's position as number two in the world on the two-year rankings and he is now over half-a-million pounds in front of the third ranked player, Ronnie O'Sullivan .

German Masters: History
The German Masters has been a ranking event since 2011 and for all but one of its renewals, it has been played at the 2000-seater Tempodrom in Berlin.
An earlier version of the event was played between 1995 and 1998 and the 1998 event was John Parrott's last major tournament win.
Judd Trump has three previous wins whilst Ali Carter and Mark Williams have both won the event twice.
The German Masters often throws up an unexpected winner as with Ali Carter (2023), Zhao Xintong (2022), Anthony Hamilton (2017) and Martin Gould (2016).
Due to the pandemic, the 2021 event had to be held in the UK at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes.
