Who will win the AFC Championship ?

NFL Regular Season Schedule

Sixteen AFC teams across the four AFC divisions set out with the aim of initially reaching the post season play offs and then onto the AFC Championship game at the end of January. The winner of the AFC Championship game will head to the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada to contest Super Bowl LVIII against the NFC Championship winners on Sunday 11th February 2024.

The regular NFL 18 week season schedule (including one bye week) is as follows (each AFC team will play):

  • The three teams in their division - twice (home & away)
  • Four teams from another division in the AFC - Once
  • Four teams from a division in the NFC - Once
  • The remaining two teams from the AFC who finished in the same divisional position last season - Once
  • An Inter conference match up against a team from another division who finished in the same position the previous season.

This season's Inter conference match up pairings for the 17th game are as follows with the AFC teams at home:

NFL International Series

What AFC teams are playing in London ?

The Jacksonville Jaguars, pre season ante post favourites for the AFC South head to London for a double header in 2023. They kick off the 2023 NFL London Games Series when they host the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 1st October. The Jaguars then head to the Tottenham Hotspur the following Sunday (8th October) to face the AFC East favourites, the Buffalo Bills. The final NFL London game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 15th October sees the AFC North's Baltimore Ravens clash with the AFC South's Tennessee Titans. What AFC teams are playing in Germany ?

The Super Bowl and AFC Championship winners, the Kansas City Chiefs head to Frankfurt in Germany on Sunday 5th November when they meet the AFC East's Miami Dolphins. The final NFL game in the NFL International Series sees the New England Patriots from the AFC East tackle the Indianapolis Colts from the AFC South on Sunday 12th November.

The seven teams representing the AFC Championship will be the four divisional winners plus three wild card spaces which will be the three teams with the best regular season win/loss records who did not win their division. The Baltimore Ravens won the AFC North finishing the regular season with 13 wins (4 losses) which was better than any other NFL team. In what turned out to be a strong division the 2nd (Cleveland Browns) and 3rd (Pittsburgh Steelers) placed teams also made the Play Offs with 11-6 and 10-7 records respectively. Last season's AFC North winners the Cincinnati Bengals also finished with a positive 9-8 record in 4th place.
