Bookies make Zelenskyy the 1/5 favourite for the award, with the People of Ukraine second in the market for a quite horrible year for the country.

The death of Queen Elizabeth II in September was arguably the biggest news story of the year with the UK basically stopping for a fortnight.
The Time Person of the Year award is given to the person or group who has "for better or for worse ... done the most to influence the events of the year".
There was hardly a more influential person in the world than the Queen and her passing was undoubtedly massive in terms of what has happened in 2022.
