  • Previously +1400 that they rejoin the Royal Family at some point, might be longer now.

The new 'Harry & Meghan' Netflix documentary is set to premiere on Thursday 8th December

Ahead of the new 'Harry & Meghan' Netflix documentary releasing on Thursday, OLBG has taken a look at past odds from Sportsbooks around the couple from when crisis talks were held back in 2020.

The Netflix documentary will be released in two sections of three episodes with the first three on Thursday and the second batch the following Thursday, focusing on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

In 2020 in the UK Paddy Power focused on a wide range of outcomes for the couple around what they'd do after their departure from the Royal Family.

Harry & Meghan Specials (2020 market) Odds Probability
Permanently move back to the UK +150 40%
Adopt a baby/child +600 14.3%
Meghan to return to a special of Suits +2000 4.8%
Meghan to appear as herself in The Crown +10000 1%

The couple lives in an £11m Montecito mansion, but one of the more popular wagers in the betting market was for them to move back to the UK permanently at some point.

The outsiders in the betting market revolved around Markle's acting career, including appearing in the Netflix series 'The Crown'.

Previous betting markets from 2020 had specials, including +150 that Harry and Meghan would move back to the UK permanently. The couple currently resides in California and that looks like there is no chance of changing.

Previous odds around the couple include +1400 that they rejoin the Royal Family at some point

Further specials originally priced up included odds of +1400 that the royal couple would rejoin the Royal Family at some point.

As we currently stand though that looks like there's no chance of that happening, never-mind the 6.7% implied probability that those odds give.

Buckingham Palace has not officially commented on the release of the documentary, and it's unlikely that they actually will.

Bookies also gave odds in 2020 of +300 that the couple would DIVORCE by 2025

Despite the couple always showing their strength in the public eye, Paddy Power offered just +300 that they would divorce by 2025.

The 25% chance that they initially gave for the divorce would surely be far bigger now if the market were to reopen.

The Netflix documentary will surely prove popular whether you like the couple, with millions of viewers expected to stream the show on the platform.

Nearly 50 million people watched Harry & Meghan's interview with Ophra in 2021.

Sportsbooks gave a 25% chance that Harry & Meghan would divorce by 2025 but the couple seemingly go from strength-to-strength heading into a new era for the pair with their Netflix documentary airing and Harry releasing a book.
