We're just a week away from Christmas and bookmakers continue to odds on where we will see a White Christmas this year with cold weather continuing up and down the UK.

Aberdeen leads the way in the latest betting market to see snow this Christmas with Edinburgh and Glasgow following just behind in the odds with a White Christmas showing big potential in Scotland.

Last year, Scotland officially saw a White Christmas in parts of the country with both Tulloch Bridge and Aviemore recording snowflakes on December 25.

William Hill says there's a 50% chance that we see snow falling in Aberdeen this year despite the latest weather predictions pointing towards a brighter day next week.

Scottish cities dominate the odds for this year's White Christmas with Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow all leading the latest betting market. The cold air we've seen in recent weeks sees Aberdeen the clear favourite with a 50% chance of snow happening next week.

Newcastle favourites to see snow falling on Christmas in England

With the cold weather snap expected to appear towards the top of the UK, it's Newcastle that are favourites out of English cities to see snow falling on Christmas Day this year.

Bookies give an implied probability of 36.4% of snow hitting Newcastle next week with Belfast the next favourite out of the UK cities that feature in the odds list.

Earlier this week the Met Office said that we will see Wind and Rain hit the UK next week with chances of snow hitting the north and we should see better predictions in the coming days as we get closer to Christmas.

Both New York and Paris also in the full list of betting odds that are given around a White Christmas this year with snow potentially hitting bit areas worldwide too.

New York's JFK International Airport has featured in betting markets in previous years to see snow on Christmas with New York known for getting extremely chilly over the winter period.

The market though has seen New York drift from 4/1 out to 6/1 to see snow falling on Christmas Day next week with just a 14.3% chance now given of it happening.
