Declan Rice is the new favourite for the PFA Player of the Year award
Arsenal's £100 million man Declan Rice is now the favourite with UK Betting Sites to win this year's PFA Player of the Year after his recent outstanding form.
Rice has elevated his performances after signing for Arsenal in the summer transfer window and his latest impressive performance saw him pop up with the winner against Luton Town on Tuesday.
These consistent performances have now seen Rice move into 6/4 favourite to win the PFA POTY award which is voted for by his fellow professionals.
Bet365's latest betting market suggests there's a 40% chance that it's Rice that wins the award ahead of Erling Haaland and Mo Salah in the list.
PFA Player of the Year Winner | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Declan Rice | 6/4 | 40.0% |

What the expert says...
Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice now has a 40% chance of winning the PFA Player of the Year award after a run of impressive performances for the Gunners so far this season. Rice has now moved above Erling Haaland in the betting market to win the award!
Erling Haaland drifts out after Manchester City's poor form
Erling Haaland was long the favourite to win his second PFA Player of the Year award but he's now drifted following Manchester City's poor form.
City have not won in four games now in the league and have fallen to six points behind Arsenal at the top of the Premier League with the title race well and truly on.
Wednesday night saw an abysmal performance by Pep Guardiola's men capped off by a Leon Bailey deflected goal in a 1-0 victory for Aston Villa.
Now Haaland is 7/4 second favourite to win the Player of the Year award and he's going to have to improve his performances if he is to do so.
