Thomas Tuchel is a new contender in the betting market to be the next Manchester United manager
German manager Thomas Tuchel is now just 3/1 to become the next Manchester United manager after bookies dramatically slashed his odds from 16/1 earlier this week after reports of interest.
Reports from German publication Kicker suggest that new United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is a big fan of Tuchel and he has asked the current Bayern Munich manager about his availability next season.
Tuchel is set to leave Bayern in the summer with the board of the German giants making that decision last month and it's extremely likely that such a well-known manager will have a lot of suitors.
BetVictor have now moved Tuchel into joint second favourite in their latest betting market with the former Chelsea manager sitting alongside another fellow ex-Chelsea man in Graham Potter at 3/1.

Gareth Southgate remains the favourite in the market at 2/1 with bookies continuing to offer odds
England manager Gareth Southgate still sits as favourite in the betting market to take over at Manchester United next after months of rumours linking him to the club.
January saw the first sprinkling of reports that the new regime at United under Sir Jim Ratcliffe were interested in Southgate and now it looks increasingly likely it could happen.
Last month saw even more reports released around his potential appointment with even ex-players Gary Neville and Roy Keane talking about him in their Overlap podcast.

Erik ten Hag reportedly under increasing pressure in charge of the club after penalty shootout win over Coventry in the FA Cup last weekend
Current Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is still not confirmed to be leaving the club in the summer, although it looks increasingly likely with pressure ramping up on the Dutchman.
Ten Hag's team faced Coventry in the FA Cup Semi-Final stage last weekend and despite being 3-0 up and in command 70 minutes in United somehow made it hard for themselves yet again.
Coventry pushed United to extra-time thanks to a barrage of attacks and a 96th minute penalty before a winning goal was disallowed for the Championship side in the 121st minute thanks to a tight offside call.
This instantly led to even more calls of ten Hag to leave with terms such as 'disgrace' and 'embarrassment' thrown around after the win despite United getting through to the FA Cup Final for the second season in-a-row.
