Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom moves into favourite to go next following Chris Wilder return reports
Sheffield United manager Paul Heckingbottom has moved into 2/1 favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave after the Blades tough defeat to Spurs at the weekend.
UK Betting Sites put Heckingbottom at the top of the betting odds after Tottenham scored two goals in injury time to come back from 1-0 down to beat Sheffield United 2-1.
Following that result, the Daily Mail reported that the Blades have 'sounded out' former manager Chris Wilder to make a shock return to replace Heckingbottom in charge of the club.
Those reports say that Heckingbottom's position as manager is in 'serious jeopardy' and BetVictor now say there's a 33% chance that he will be the next manager to leave this season.
Next Premier League Manager to Leave | Odds | Probability |

Sean Dyche second favourite after Everton lose once again at the weekend
Everton manager Sean Dyche is the second favourite to be sacked this season after his side's 1-0 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday where they looked fairly poor to say the least.
Wave-after-wave of Arsenal attack was met with good defensive work until Leandro Trossard broke the deadlock in the 69th minute to give the Gunners the only goal they needed for the 3 points.
Dyche will need to turn things around quickly to get the Toffees moving up the league this season and a tricky away game against Brentford comes next on Saturday.
Luton Town remain the favourites to be relegated this season after another defeat
Luton Town stay as the favourites to be relegated from the Premier League this season with their odds shortening further to 2/9 to go straight back down to the Championship.
Sheffield United now shorten further also to 1/3 to be relegated after that heartbreaking injury time defeat to Spurs on Saturday with Everton wrapping up the top three in the market.
Following that there are a whole host of teams with short odds too with bookmakers seemingly not knowing who the third team will be fighting to stay up this season.
Premier League Relegation 23/24 | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Luton Town | 2/9 | 81.8% |
Sheffield United | 1/3 | 75.0% |
Everton | 11/8 | 42.1% |
