Newcastle manager Eddie Howe shortens into 7/2 to be the next Premier League manager to leave
Betting remains available on the next Premier League manager to leave this season and Eddie Howe has been the biggest market mover in the past week.
Howe's odds have now been slashed into 7/2 second favourite with bookmakers to leave his role next after his Newcastle side were beaten 3-2 by Manchester City on Saturday.
Pressure has seemingly ramped up on Howe in the past few weeks with Newcastle's league form seeing them freefall down to 10th place in the Premier League table.
BetVictor have now made Howe the second favourite behind Roy Hodgson to leave his role next with his latest odds suggesting a 22% chance that he is the next manager to go.
Next Premier League Manager To Leave | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Roy Hodgson | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Eddie Howe | 7/2 | 22.2% |
Erik ten Hag | 4/1 | 20.0% |
Vincent Kompany | 8/1 | 11.1% |
Thomas Frank | 10/1 | 9.1% |
What the expert says...
With Newcastle United struggling in 9th place, could the possibility of missing out on Champions League Football in the 2024/25 season hasten Eddie Howes's departure? Howe has now moved into 7/2 to leave next.
Roy Hodgson remains the favourite to go with Erik ten Hag also towards the top of the market
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson remains top of the betting market to be the next manager to leave in the Premier League this season.
Hodgson has had a tricky season so far for Palace with their form inconsistent and this may lead to the board eventually deciding to let him go.
The Palace manager has hit back at fans at times this season with comments made last month calling his own supporters "spoiled" after they booed the team off against Bournemouth.
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag was watched by new United investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe yesterday with the Red Devils drawing 2-2 at home to Tottenham.

Manchester City now 4/7 to win the Premier League title this season
Pep Guardiola's Manchester City remain the betting favourites to win the league this season after they came back from behind to beat Newcastle 3-2 on Saturday.
Kevin De Bruyne came back from injury to make an impressive cameo where he scored and assisted Oscar Bobb's injury time winner to seal the 3 points.
Bookies have shortened their odds into 4/7 to win the league title now after they look like they've come out of that poor run of form from last month.
Premier League Winner 23/24 | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Manchester City | 4/7 | 63.6% |
Liverpool | 9/4 | 30.8% |
Arsenal | 15/2 | 11.8% |
Aston Villa | 40/1 | 2.4% |
Tottenham | 40/1 | 2.4% |
