David Moyes and Paul Heckingbottom both 4/1 at the top of the betting to leave next
Betting is back open on the next Premier League manager to leave after Julen Lopetegui became the first to go before the season even started last week.
UK Betting Sites offer odds on which manager will go next and West Ham's David Moyes and Sheffield United's Paul Heckingbottom are the joint favourites at 4/1.
West Ham drew 1-1 away to Bournemouth which wasn't a terrible result, but Sheffield United started the season with a 1-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace which will already be a worry.
BetVictor have both of these managers as joint favourites at the top of the market with a 20% chance of each of them being the next to go according to the latest odds.
Next Premier League Manager to Leave | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
David Moyes | 4/1 | 20.0% |
Paul Heckingbottom | 4/1 | 20.0% |
Steve Cooper | 5/1 | 16.7% |
Rob Edwards | 7/1 | 12.5% |
Sean Dyche | 8/1 | 11.1% |
What the expert says...
David Moyes and Paul Heckingbottom now share favouritism at the top of the betting market to go next, with the latest odds from bookmakers suggesting that both men have a 20% chance of leaving next.
Steve Cooper third favourite after Nottingham Forest's opening day defeat to Arsenal
Steve Cooper has come into the betting market as third favourite now with his odds shortening from the 14/1 he was last week to just 5/1 to leave his role at Nottingham Forest next.
Cooper and his side though will take some consolation from their 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at the weekend after seeing other sides in the league concede more in the first round of games.
Forest currently sit in 15th in the Premier League table with the bottom three in the league after the first weekend being Luton Town, Burnley and Aston Villa.

Luton remain odds-on favourites to be relegated after first weekend's games
The betting market for relegation from the Premier League this season hasn't changed much after the majority of teams have played their first games of their campaign.
Luton were favourites before a ball was kicked to be relegated from the league and that hasn't changed following their 4-1 defeat away at Brighton.
Sheffield United are second favourites behind them after they were beaten 1-0 at home to Crystal Palace and it looks like they will have a tough season on that viewing.
Premier League Relegation 23/24 | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Luton Town | 4/11 | 73.3% |
Sheffield United | 4/9 | 69.2% |
Everton | 9/4 | 30.8% |
Nottingham Forest | 9/4 | 30.8% |
Bournemouth | 5/2 | 28.6% |
Wolves | 5/2 | 28.6% |
