Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson is now the bookmakers favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave his role this season with the 76-year-old leading the dreaded sack race.

Hodgson has had an indifferent time in charge of Palace this season with some great results usually followed by a poor performance and struggles for the Eagles.

The English manager has hit back at fans at times this season with comments made just last month calling his own supporters "spoiled" after they booed the team off against Bournemouth.

Man United boss Erik ten Hag is second favourite in the betting market at 3/1

Erik ten Hag and his Manchester United side make the short journey to Wigan on Monday night in the FA Cup Third Round with ten Hag looking to avoid a famous upset.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe's headed to United's training ground Carrington earlier this month ahead of his 25% stake purchase of the club being approved by the Premier League.

Reportedly Sir Jim will have the final say in anything football related at the club and that may well mean that he decides to replace ten Hag in the coming weeks with a new manager.

The Dutch manager is currently the second favourite in the betting odds to leave his role next, with bookies saying there's a 25% chance of him being the next manager to go.

What the expert says..

New shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe will be running football operations at Old Trafford from the Spring of 2024, accompanied by Dave Brailsford. Naturally, changes are already planned, which could include Ten Hag if results do not improve.

Sheffield United remain heavy favourites to be relegated from the Premier League this season

Betting remains available on the Premier League relegation battle this season and it's Sheffield United who are the clear favourites to go back down to the Championship at the end of this campaign.

The Blades have struggled this season and sit rock bottom of the Premier League table on 9 points after 20 games and that puts them 7 points behind 17th placed Everton in the league.

Chris Wilder's re-appointment has seen Sheffield United toughen up considerably, but that still hasn't transferred over the the results that they will need to stay up this season.
