  • The Bluebirds are just 5/1 to be relegated this campaign

Current caretaker manager Mark Hudson is the 6/4 favourite to become permanent manager

Mark Hudson has been installed as the 6/4 bookmakers' favourite to be the next Cardiff manager.

Hudson is the current caretaker manager after being appointed directly from his first team coaching position at the Bluebirds.

BetVictor make Hudson the clear favourite but he's yet to take charge of Cardiff after being appointed just before the international break.

Next Cardiff Manager Odds Probability
Mark Hudson 6/4 40.0%
Sol Bamba 7/2 22.2%
Rob Edwards 10/1 9.1%
Nathan Jones 12/1 7.7%
Anthony Barry 16/1 5.9%

It looks increasingly likely that Hudson will be given a good run of fixtures to prove himself in the role before a permanent appointment is made.

If Cardiff get off to a flyer under Hudson then it would make sense for the hierarchy to appoint him as manager on a full time basis.

Current caretaker manager Mark Hudson is the bookies favourite at 6/4 to get the Cardiff job on a permanent basis.

Steve Morison was dismissed as manager after poor results at the start of the season

Steve Morison was sacked as manager of Cardiff after the team's defeat to Huddersfield last time out.

Reports suggested that Cardiff were going to relieve Morison of his duties after the Middlesbrough game the week before but Cardiff's win stopped that.

Just a week later though the Bluebirds disappointed against Huddersfield and the day after Cardiff sacked Morison as manager.

The Bluebirds are just 5/1 to be relegated this campaign

Looking at odds for relegation from the Championship this season, Cardiff are currently 8th favourites to go down.

The Bluebirds are helped by a whole host of teams who have got off to even worse starts than they have this year.

Mark Hudson's five years as a player at Cardiff will help fans and players be on his side going into a tricky time before the World Cup.

Huddersfield remain the 5/6 favourites to be relegated from the Championship this season despite beating Cardiff last time out.
