Happy Valley is the clear favourite to win Best Drama Series at the BAFTA TV Awards
Betting remains available on this weekend's BAFTA TV Awards and it's Happy Valley that remains the heavy favourite with bookmakers to win Best Drama Series at the event.
The hit BBC show came back after 7 years away last year and the story wrapped up in dramatic fashion with Sally Wainwright consistently producing one of the best shows on British television.
Happy Valley's return was a massive success for the BBC with the show averaging more than 9m viewers across the fourth and final series which finished the story for Catherine Cawood.
William Hill's latest betting odds now put the series at 1/5 to win the Best Drama Series award with those odds shortening even further from the 1/4 odds it was at last month.

Happy Valley star Sarah Lancashire is the 4/9 favourite to win the Best Actress award at the upcoming BAFTA TV Awards with her role in the series often described as one of the best.
Lancashire's role as policewoman Catherine Cawood has gone on for years with the original running of the show in 2014 and 2016 for the first two series.
The show came back for the third and final series last year and Lancashire made sure that the show was wrapped up in style with a stunning performance in the lead role.
Bella Ramsey, star of HBO show The Last of Us, has come right into second favourite in the betting market with their odds shortening in the past month.

BAFTA TV Awards are set to take place this Sunday
This year's BAFTA TV Awards will take place this Sunday 12 May with the show being broadcast in the UK on BBC One and iPlayer.
The 2024 BAFTA TV Awards will once again be hosted by comedians Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan after they did so last year with the ceremony held at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in London.
Nominations for the awards sees The Crown leading the way overall with a total of eight nominations, ahead of Demon 79 (Black Mirror) with seven.
