Josh O’Connor now evens favourite to be the next James Bond

We’ve now got a brand new favourite in the betting market to be the next James Bond with Josh O’Connor now just evens to star in the iconic role next.

O’Connor tops the market with UK Betting Sites moving the odds right around to place The Crown star right at the top ahead of Theo James and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

It looks increasingly likely that we’ll know who will be starring as James Bond in the coming months and speculation continues to ramp up around the role.

William Hill's latest betting market puts O’Connor as the evens favourite with those odds giving an implied probability of 50% that he is chosen as the man to play Bond in the next film.

Theo James has moved above Taylor-Johnson in the odds list to play Bond with the odds changing massively in the past month.

Theo James is the latest market mover in the next James Bond betting with the English actor's odds slashed from 7/2 in to just 7/4 for the iconic role after rumours linked him with the role. Aaron Taylor-Johnson has moved back into favourite after previously drifting out in the market!

Former favourite Aaron Taylor-Johnson now drifts out to 2/1

Aaron Taylor-Johnson had long been favourite for the role of Bond with bookmakers across the board having him at the top of the market for the past year.

All has now changed though with the 34-year-old drifting out to third favourite in the betting market with no confirmation of who will play Bond being made.

The latest market suggests a 33% chance that Taylor-Johnson plays Bond next with favourite O'Connor given a 50% implied probability.

Steve McQueen backed into favourite to direct the next Bond movie

Steve McQueen is the new favourite to direct the next James Bond after the 12 Years A Slave director had reportedly caught the attention of Bond bosses.

Reports in The Sun back in November said that there had been a positive response from McQueen when Bond producers asked about him having a hand in the next movie.
