Greyhounds Betting - Favourites Index
The Favourites Index is a popular alternative to straight win betting where the winner of each race is awarded 25 points, the second-placed dog is given ten points and the dog in third is given five points. The bookmaker will then quote a price for different ranges of total points that all the favourites on the card will achieve. So, with the scoring system outlined above, if two favourites won, one finished second and one finished third the total achieved would be 65 points. The bookies will quote prices over a range of potential point totals such as this:

- Over 115 points 13/8
