Blinkers certainly made a difference to Declan Queally's 6-year-old when landing a punt in another 18-runner handicap at Limerick 15 days ago, spreadeagling the field to win by 13 lengths. A 10lb rise may not stop back-to-back wins for Beggars Rock, who is also entered up here on Monday. I feel connections are seeing how far he can go blinkered over hurdles before going chasing.

Last run was a very good listed handicap at Limerick, where he was one and a half lengths second, finishing full of running. Up in distance, stamina to prove, but IMO is solid each way at 8/1.

Currently trading at 20/1 I like the look of Edward Crawley's 9 year old Gelding CHOSEN DIAMOND who could appreciate the drop in class. This Son of WELL CHOSEN returns after a 287 day sabbatical but has won previously after a 200+ absence so that puts my mind at ease with regards to that. The Testing ground shouldn't cause this charge to many problems with all his best form Coming on juice filled turf the same can be said about this trip (20f). This lad remains on the same mark of 98 where he finished 5th lto @Fairyhouse & would have probably gotten a bit closer but for a bad jump at the last. Jockey Sean O'Keefe piloted this charge to a 2nd place in his last run & returns with Trainer Edward Crawley who has 1 win 1 place from 3 runs the past fortnight. 5 places on offer I'm happy to play each way with this bottom weighted charge.

ON THE STEEL was pitched in deep for his reappearance and he ran with credit. That run will have fine-tuned him now back in handicap hurdles company and he was well punted for his maiden hurdle win last spring. There are some clues on breeding that this trip in this sphere will suit and his opening handicap mark appears within his reach. Maybe the market can tell us more.
