CERTAIN LAD takes his chance with the yard in decent form and he does race in the style of a horse who will appreciate this mile and a half trip. An eight year old now often aimed high , so where some of the high-profile yards are possibly using this race as a prep for another he could capitalise.

GINGER MAIL is probably still a well handicapped mature type. The form of his Morebattle run sees him significantly better off at the weights and his rider's claim is a bonus. One of the overpriced each-way players in a typically competitive renewal.

GREY LEADER may be a runner who's fitness is worth chancing. He is an unexposed runner in the handicap sphere and he could have wintered well. He is proven on ground this testing and if supported this could be an early season race connections feel they can land from this mark.

ALPHA CRUCIS is closely matched with others at shorter prices and rates the value each-way play. Sound sire , and rested since his fine effort in Doncaster's Lincoln he should still be open to significant progress as a four year old handicapper. Trainer Gary Moore has had a couple of recent winners following a quiet spell and no surprise if this one is competitive.

MR VANGO may fare well in a now good race for a novice chaser. The form of his Cheltenham festival runs reads well boosted since and he could still be well handicapped. He has no stamina issues and continues to progress over fences. Plenty of confidence coming from the saddle with Ben Jones riding winners recently and his chance appears at least as strong as any other.

SECRET REPRIEVE appears a fair each-way play with many bookmakers offering extra places for this renewal. He does of course face many younger , but he has not stood much racing since his Welsh National win and appears to have been specifically aimed at this race this time around. He will not be inconvenienced by this big field and well treated against what he can achieve he should at least perform above market expectation.

RAISE YOU has a huge absence to overcome , but he has reappeared multiple times in the spring with wins and could still be a runner seen to maximum effect when fresh. This powerful Irish yard would have no problems getting him ready and he merits a market check.
