What is League of Legends?
League of Legends which is better known as simply LOL, is a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game developed by Riot Games.
Like DOTA 2, the aim of the game is to destroy a structure, known as the 'Nexus' of the opposing team whilst defending your own.
To get to the 'Nexus' to destroy it, the characters, known as 'Champions' must first breach defensive lines called Turrets which are tower-like structures.
The 'Champions' all start on a low level but throughout the game can increase by accumulating items and experience.
The main map which is used is 'Summoners Rift' where two teams of five compete against each other. Another map is 'Howling Abyss' although less used as it lakes the jungle cover.
