OLBG look at previous odds given around who will win Season 2

Season Two of The Traitors continues this week with more than 4 million people watching Wednesday night's show with anticipation around who would be killed by the Traitors.

UK Betting Sites originally offered odds at the start of the season around whether it will be Traitors or Faithfuls who win the show with Faithfuls given the favouritism in the market.

Season One saw Faithful's winning the show with Aaron, Hannah and Meryl all splitting the prize money of £101,050 that the competitors won across the trials that season.

The chances of Faithful's winning this time around was 1/2 with those odds suggesting a 66% implied probability of the Faithful's beating the Traitors in this season.

Diane was the latest faithful murdered by the Traitors

Wednesday night's episode of The Traitors saw record numbers watch what turned out to be Diane's funeral with the rest of the contestants learning that she was poisoned.

Traitor Miles had poisoned Diane with a glass of fizzy wine on the previous episode but it wasn't an instant killing with the other Faithfuls learning of the poisoning in a dramatic funeral.

Diane's murder eventually led to the round table pinning it on Miles who was revealed to be a Traitor after being voted out by the rest of the contestants.

The Traitors has been renewed for Season Three already

BBC announced back in November that The Traitors had already been renewed for a third series due to the success of the first series and the BBC will be thrilled that Season Two has flown in the ratings too.

Stephen Lambert, CEO of Studio Lambert, said: “We’re delighted a third series of The Traitors has been confirmed today ahead of the second series’ arrival on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The Traitors has been so warmly received by viewers, critics and award juries alike. Claudia and the team look forward to keeping audiences on the edge of their seats again with ever more thrilling missions and exceptional players competing in this gripping game of bluff and skill.”

It's unclear when we'll see Season Three air on the BBC but it's likely that it'll be the same time next year with the New Year schedule the perfect place for the hit series.
