Gavin & Stacey now as short as 1/16 to be the most watched show on Christmas Day this year
We're just two week's away from Christmas Day and bookmakers continue to offer odds on which show will be the Top Christmas Day UK TV Programme for 2024.
BBC's hit comedy Gavin & Stacey tops the betting odds with bookies shortening it right down to just 1/16 now with a dominant display expected in terms of viewing figures.
Gavin & Stacey's last episode also was a Christmas Day special airing back in 2019 and that year saw it storm clear in the ratings with 11.6m viewers putting in at number 1 ahead of The Queen's Christmas Broadcast at 6.4m.
There's no surprise therefore that Bet365 now have the show, created by and starring Ruth Jones and James Corden, as short as 1/16 to be the most watched on Xmas Day this year.

Last year's viewing figures saw the King’s Speech top the overall viewing list with 5.9m
Last year's most watched Christmas Day figures saw King Charles top the ratings with his broadcast to the nation on the BBC.
BBC dominated TV audiences last year with 9 of the top 10 most watched programmes on Christmas Day airing on the network, specifically on BBC One.
Strictly Come Dancing's Christmas Special followed behind King Charles’ Christmas Broadcast and this year they're expected to have the number one spot again with Gavin & Stacey.
5 years on from the programme’s last airing linear viewing has changed once again with streaming platforms growing more and more and it's expected that more will watch the show on iPlayer this year.

Further markets look at who will grab the Christmas Number One spot this year
Betting odds are also still offered on Christmas Number One this year with Wham! odds on to grab the festive top spot for the second year in-a-row.
OLBG previously reported how Band Aid had come into favourite after the 40-year anniversary song was announced but that has now changed after Ed Sheeran spoke against his inclusion in the song.
Now there are no real contenders to Wham! in the market with Tom Grennan second favourite in the odds at 8/1.
