What the expert says...
What is Megalopolis about?
Megalopolis is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 17, 2024 and is highly anticipated with the movie a longtime passion project written, produced and directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
The film sees Adam Driver star as Caesar who looks to rebuild a City similar to New York as a sustainable utopia after an accident destroys it, with opposition coming from the cities mayor and other people.
Coppola has wanted to make the film ever since 1979 when he first conceived the idea but years have gone by without it happening until now where he had to spend $120 million of his own money on the film for it to be made.
When does this year’s Cannes Film Festival take place?
