Oppenheimer now the 3/1 second favourite to win Best Picture at the 2024 Oscars
Christopher Nolan's latest release Oppenheimer came out this past weekend and with its release saw movement in the Best Picture market for next year's Oscars awards.
UK Betting Sites have now moved the movie into second favourite at 3/1 from the 6/1 that it was at back at the start of July after a huge opening weekend.
Both Barbie and Oppenheimer were released this weekend with both films reportedly smashing their predicted Box Office figures in their first weekend's.
William Hill say that there's a 25% chance that Oppenheimer wins the Best Picture award at the 2024 Oscars behind long time favourite Killers of the Flower Moon in the betting.

Martin Scorsese film Killers of the Flower Moon remains favourite to win the Best Picture award but its odds have drifted slightly from 6/4 to 2/1 in the past week.
The movie is set to be released in October and stars Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role in what is an Apple Original based on David Grann's best-selling book.
Killers of the Flower Moon was screened at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year with The Guardian giving the film 5 stars out of 5 calling it 'remarkable'.
