Cillian Murphy remains the favourite to win the award for his role in Oppenheimer

The Best Actor market still has Cillian Murphy as the favourite for his star role in the summer blockbuster Oppenheimer and his odds have shortened even more.

Murphy has gone from 5/4 to odds-on at 8/11 now to win the Best Actor award for the first time in his career for his role as J. Robert Oppenheimer.

The Irish actor is well known for starring in Peaky Blinders in the last few years and the Oppenheimer performance may start to see him predominant in film more now.
