Henry Cavill is now the betting favourite to be the next James Bond after Superman and Witcher departures
Henry Cavill is the new favourite with bookies to be the next James Bond after leaving both The Witcher and Superman in the past month.
The British actor has been linked with the James Bond role in the past and the stars may well have aligned for him to slot into the 007 role.
William Hill now make Cavill the 7/4 outright favourite for the role with a 36% chance of taking over according to the latest odds.
Next James Bond | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Henry Cavill | 7/4 | 36.4% |
Aaron Taylor-Johnson | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Tom Hardy | 6/1 | 14.3% |
Regé-Jean Page | 8/1 | 11.1% |
James Norton | 10/1 | 9.1% |
Chiwetel Ejiofor | 10/1 | 9.1% |
Dan Stevens | 12/1 | 7.7% |
The rest of the market has stayed fairly similar in the past week with Aaron Taylor-Johnson remaining the second favourite in the betting.
Tom Hardy has always been there or thereabouts in the betting and stays that way with odds of 6/1 to be the next Bond.
Henry Cavill is now the outright favourite to be the next James Bond after leaving his roles as The Witcher and Superman in the past month! There's now a 36% chance that he is the next Bond according to the betting odds.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson was the big market mover in recent weeks
Aaron Taylor-Johnson's odds to be the next Bond had dropped massively in the past fortnight with rumours around a "secret screen test" for the role.
Taylor-Johnson was 50/1 last month to take over from Daniel Craig next but then moved to 6/4 outright favourite for the Bond role.
He's since drifted slightly in the betting but bookies still give him a 33% chance of being the next Bond.

Bookies give odds of 7/2 that the James Bond franchise goes to streaming only
The movie viewing market is changing constantly and there are odds on the Bond franchise going streaming only in 2023.
The latest betting odds say there's a 22% chance that James Bond will be streaming only going forward with the movies having a spell on Amazon Prime Video earlier this year.
At odds of 7/2, Betway say there's a decent chance that the franchise goes to streaming only but it may need Box Office figures to keep making the films.
Bookies make it 7/2 that we see the James Bond franchise go straight to streaming in future with more films being released on streaming platforms. Amazon had a spell earlier this year where they had EVERY Bond movie available as part of their Prime Video service.
