Italy lead the way for Eurovision with bookmakers!
Mahmood & BLANCO's Brividi is the Italian entrant for this year's Eurovision and it's an early betting favourite to win this year's show.
Italy won Eurovision last year through rock band Måneskin who sang Zitti E Buoni and bookmakers already feel the country could win it again.
Through winning the contest, Italy therefore will host this year's event in Turin at the PalaOlimpico on the 14th May.
United Kingdom on the other hand are well out of the way in the odds at 25/1, with nil points in last year's edition the second time that the UK have done that bad.
Eurovision 2022 Winner | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Italy | 11/4 | 26.7% |
Australia | 11/2 | 15.4% |
Poland | 7/1 | 12.5% |
Ukraine | 16/1 | 5.9% |
Switzerland | 20/1 | 4.8% |
France | 20/1 | 4.8% |
United Kingdom | 25/1 | 3.8% |
Australia are second favourites to win this year's Eurovision, with odds of 11/2 to do so.
The Oceanian country has competed at Eurovision 6 times since originally being invited back in 2015, with last year's edition the first time since competing that they failed to qualify for the finals.
Måneskin were last year's Eurovision winners
Italian rockers Måneskin won last year's edition of Eurovision and have been a major success ever since.
Winning song Zitti E Buoni has had massive commercial success and helped to make Måneskin a worldwide success.
The band's recent appearance on Saturday Night Live highlighted the fact that they've broke into the American audience too.
Zitti E Buoni hit the highs of 7th and 8th in both the Billboard US Hot Hard Rock Songs and the US World Digital Song Sales respectively.
United Kingdom out at 25/1 to win this year's contest
Last year was a stinker for United Kingdom at Eurovision, with James Newman the latest act for the UK to crumble at the Song Contest.
Embers was an upbeat entrant for the contest for the UK, but ultimately Europe didn't like it and therefore gave it zero points. Nul points.
With odds at 25/1 to win this year's edition of Eurovision, bookmakers aren't really giving the UK a sniff of winning this year.
TaP Music, the global music publishing company behind Dua Lipa and many more artists have been given the job of finding this year's Eurovision entrant for the United Kingdom.
