Sabrina Carpenter moves into evens to have this year's Christmas Number One
American popstar Sabrina Carpenter is the new favourite in the betting market for this year's Christmas Number One with her dominance in the UK Singles Chart continuing this month.
Carpenter made history in October after becoming the first artist in 71 years of charts history to spend 20 weeks at the top spot of the UK Charts in a calendar year.
The 25-year-old singer has led the charts with Taste, Espresso and Please Please Please over the past year with the latest charts still seeing her at the top spot with the former.
This run in 2024 has seen her now move into evens favourite to have the UK Number One on Christmas Day this year with her dominant spell showing no signs of slowing down.

Wham! have drifted out from previous evens favourites to 2/1 for the UK Number One after Carpenter's odds shortened in the past month, with the chances still high of Andrew Ridgeley and the late George Michael hitting top spot once again.
The 80s band finally hit the Christmas Number One spot with their classic 'Last Christmas' last year, 39 years on from when it was first released all the way back on 3 December 1984.
Another band feature in the odds list with One Direction third favourites to have the Christmas Number One this year following the sad passing of member Liam Payne in October.
It's thought that there may be a posthumous single release from Payne in the coming months and it may well be that his family wait until the Christmas period for its release.
