Cheltenham Festival gets underway in two weeks and we preview the first day of action at the event

The 2024 Cheltenham Festival kicks off in two weeks time and the first day of action is going to be a big one with some tasty races kicking off the festival.

Day One at the Festival is Champion Day with the Unibet Champion Hurdle the feature race of the day getting underway at 15:30.

Constitution Hill is now joint favourite for the Champion Hurdle with bookmakers putting him at 1/2 to win the race in the antepost market.

OLBG-sponsored trainer Harry Derham currently has two entries in for the 16:50 Juvenile Handicap Hurdle Race with Givemefive and Mojo Ego currently pencilled in for entries.

We take a look at Willie Mullins specials offered for the Festival this year

Willie Mullins is once again expected to have a massive year at the Cheltenham Festival with the Irish trainer usually a dominant force at the event.

Last year's total of 6 winners across the week for Mullins was actually low for his high standards with the winning-most trainer in Cheltenham history wanting to do better this year.

Mullins record for the Festival is 10 set back in 2022 and his performance at the Dublin Racing Festival, with eight grade 1 winners, sees the hype start to ramp up for a successful Cheltenham this year.

OLBG and Unibet are now giving away a pair of tickets for Day 1 of Cheltenham

Day 1 of the Cheltenham Festival is always a big one with the hype around the festival seeing thousands upon thousands of eager punters heading to the event.

Because of this tickets for the Festival are hard to get and the event usually sells out with more than 250,000 heading there across the week.

OLBG though have you sorted if you're unable to get tickets with our Day 1 ticket competition now available courtesy of Unibet Racing.

OLBG's Cheltenham Festival Tipster Competition is taking place once again this year
