Anthony Joshua says he "needs" to fight Tyson Fury

We're nearing the end of 2021 and Anthony Joshua STILL hasn't fought Tyson Fury.

Both sides had agreed a deal for the fight to happen at the start of the year, but it all fell through after Deontay Wilder won his legal battle for a third fight against Anthony Joshua. Joshua, speaking on the BBC 5 Live Boxing Podcast said "Do I need Tyson Fury on my record? I need it."

Fury has stated in 'The Overlap with Gary Neville' that he wants the fight but isn't sure that it'll ever happen. Bookmakers suggest that the fight won't happen in 2022, with odds of 1/2 that it DOESN'T happen.

Bookmakers make Tyson Fury favourite if fight was to happen

Some betting sites have already priced up odds if the Anthony Joshua v Tyson Fury fight was to take place, with Tyson Fury the slight 1/2 favourite to win the bout.

Anthony Joshua has odds of 6/4, meaning bookies are giving him a 40% chance of winning the fight, with the draw out at 20/1.

There are already tips up for the fight on OLBG, with members 50/50 split on who wins this one.

Tyson Fury has better boxing techniques, better cardio, better footwork, and better chin. The only aspect where Joshua beats him is in punching power and the Brit is very hard to hit.

Anthony Joshua fights Oleksandr Usyk next weekend

Anthony Joshua faces Oleksandr Usyk at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the 25th September and it's Joshua who is a favourite for this one, at odds of 4/11. Oleksandr Usyk is unbeaten in his professional boxing career, but has only had two fights so far at heavyweight. This fight will be one of the toughest for him so far, but he has earned the title shot from being so successful as a cruiserweight.

Usyk himself to win the fight is a 9/4 shot, with bookies expecting him to have just a 30.8% chance of winning.

Bookies expect a straightforward victory for Anthony Joshua against Oleksandr Usyk, with 4/11 odds giving him an implied probability of winning at 73.3%

Tyson Fury heavy favourite against Deontay Wilder in October

Tyson Fury is set for a third fight against Deontay Wilder next month, with the fight initially scheduled to take place on July 24th.

A positive COVID-19 test for Tyson Fury meant that the bout was put back again and October 9th has now been pencilled in. At odds of 2/7, bookmakers are expecting Fury to win against Wilder for the second time.

Wilder is 5/2 to win the bout, with his explosive one punch power giving him a 28% chance according to betting sites for this one.
