Luke Littler is the early favourite to win this year's Sports Personality of the Year
Darts sensation Luke Littler is now the early favourite with UK Betting Sites to win the 2025 Sports Personality of the Year award after winning the World Darts Championship right at the start of the year.
Littler, who turns 18 later this month, finished second for the 2024 SPOTY award after a massive debut year saw him reach the final of the World Championship last year.
The Nuke followed that up by winning the Premier League Darts as well as the Grand Slam of Darts for a massive first 12 months in Darts which saw him win over £1m in prize money.
Paddy Power's latest odds have installed Littler as the early favourite for this year's award after he beat Michael van Gerwen 7-3 in the 2025 final at Alexandra Palace on January 3.

England Lionesses stars feature in market with Women's EURO 2025 this summer
Both Leah Williamson and Lucy Bronze feature in the top five of the betting market ahead of the 2025 Women's European Championship this summer.
England head into the tournament as holders of the Euros and Beth Mead won the SPOTY award in 2022 when England won the tournament.
2023 saw the Lionesses reach the final of the World Cup with Mary Earps crowned SPOTY and any successful showing will likely see one of England's stars shorten in the market.

Olympic 800m gold medallist Keely Hodgkinson was crowned winner of the 2024 award
Keely Hodgkinson was placed as favourite in the betting market for the Sports Personality of the Year award before the Paris Olympics even got underway and that favouritism was proven to be correct.
Hodgkinson stormed the 800m final to win Olympic Gold and become a legend in British athletics and that win was sealed further by Sports Personality of the Year recognition in December.
The 22-year-old finished above Luke Littler and Joe Root to win the 2024 SPOTY award and it would be no surprise to see her as a multiple winner further down the line.
