Placed over 6f & 7f on turf, could come here fresh after a run on the AW 10 days ago (7¾L 7th of 8) on returning from a 6 months break, so having been dropped 3lbs in the handicap and running for a yard on a 21% strike rate in the last 14 days, I fancy we should see an improved effort on dropping down in distance for her first attempt at 5f

Showed good form in her 1st 4 runs over hurdles, 2/2/1/2 (Aug. ??" Nov. 2023) but couldn’t match that form on her handicap debut, 18 days ago, when finishing 28 lengths behind the winner in a Class 1 handicap. She has dropped 5lbs in the weights after her handicap debut run and should be better suited running in a Class 5 handicap today and stepping up in distance for her first run over 2m5f

After being beaten 1¼ lengths into 2nd in this race last year he switched to chasing for his next 5 runs and showed a possible return to form in his latest outing, 35 days ago, when finishing 5¾ lengths 3rd of 10 in a Class 4, 2m7½f handicap chase, so returning to hurdling today and running off the same mark as when runner up here last year he could be on for taking his 3rd hurdles win.

9th Lyon are on a decent run of only 2 losses in 12 games, W9 D1 L2, but they have lost over half of the games they have played against teams above then in the league, W6 D1 L8, so my money will be on 4th placed Lille to take the home win today. Lille have won 11 of their 15 home games this season and are also enjoying a good run of form, having lost only 3 of their last 14 games, W8 D3 L3, so with home advantage today I reckon odds of 2.00 for them to take the 3pts are well worth taking
