Summary

Hacksaw Gaming's 2024 opener, 2 Wild 2 Die, caught my eye on several online slot sites, bringing the Wild West to life with standout graphics and features. This slot game unfolds on a 5x4 grid, where 14 fixed pay lines pave the way for high-volatility action and an RTP of 96.25%.

I was particularly drawn to the Silver & Golden Revolver symbols, each loaded with 1 to 6 bullets. Upon landing, these revolvers unleash bullets across the grid, transforming hit spots into Wilds and Wild Multipliers, adding an unpredictable thrill to every spin.

For those intrigued by the sound of 2 Wild 2 Die, stick with me as I delve into the nitty-gritty of this fresh release. And for a wider view of slot games, OLBG should be your go-to for insights into the best online slots.

100 Spins Test

This 100 Spin test was updated by Steve Madgwick on 17/1/2024

100 spins is not a Real Test

We give every slot a 100 spin test to see just what it can do, or not as the case can often be - 100 spins is no reflection of the likelihood of any other 100-spin session, as RTP's are set over many millions and probably billions of spins. So this 100 spin test is just for entertainment and insight purposes

ElementOutcome
Session RTP151.8%
Win FrequencyMedium 27/100
Biggest Base Game Win16x
Spins to Bonus3
Bonus Paid112x
Average Win Value over 100 Spins5.62x

The Spin Test criteria can be found at the bottom of the page

Test Comments

An interesting test to say the least as it is not unusual to not hit a bonus round on a Hacksaw game in a 100 spin test, but 2 Wild 2 Die forwent all of that by hitting the basic free spins bonus after just 3 spins, and paid a handsome 112x in the process. So a profitable 100 spins test was guaranteed from the get-go.

What transpired was a decent session returning a final 151.8% RTP boosted by a medium win rate of 27 winning spins in the 100, with a top base game win of 16x.

The average winning spin value for the test was 5.62x including the bonus round, but with that removed a still respectable 1.53x was achieved.

Graphics, Music, and Sound Effects

As you'd expect with a Hacksaw title, it's a sleek-looking slot, their designs tend to be superior and set the scene fantastically for whichever story they are telling. The designers have used an old newspaper print design which gives a vintage feel. So expect to see plenty of yellowing newspaper and brown hues to reflect the 1800s setting.

Cowboy music has been matched well for the music, the type which is usually used in films about the Wild West. You'll hear plenty of moody guitar riffs and large birds of prey in the background which befits a desert scene. The sound effects include plenty of gunfire ringing out across the shoot outs.

Key Features

Written by Slots Content Manager Jenny Mason

Now that I've told you about the summary, intro, graphics, music, and sound effects, up next will be the key game features.

The slot games reviews we share on OLBG include accurate info about the important features such as the theme, paylines and reels, bet range, and bonuses. I’ll finish off the review by sharing my play experience, first impressions and expert verdict.

Theme – Wild West

Howdy partner! When launching the game you'll be met with the face of the story who appears to be the lead outlaw of the gang and she looks like a real badass. She's tooled up with plenty of guns and ammo and doesn't look like someone you'd want to mess with.  The game design has an 1800s sepia feel to it across all of the levels. The base game shows a street in a frontier town where the local saloon is burning to the ground -  this gang certainly leaves a trail of chaos in their wake! The Shooting Wild Bonus is set in the aforementioned saloon where the outlaws are shooting up the place. During the Most Wanted Bonus round you'll play in a bank setting that the gang are in the process of robbing.

The grid has an old-fashioned, wooden design and the character symbols in order from highest first are the female outlaw in a mask, the female outlow again (with her face showing), a revolver, a cowboy hat and an animal skull. These are then followed by the usual standard symbols of A, K, Q and J.

Reels

You’ll discover the classic setup of 5 reels by 4 rows for the 2 Wild 2 Die slot game.

Paylines

The 2 Wild 2 Die has 14 non-adjustable paylines on the grid.

RTP

You’ll see the acronym RTP on every slot site out there and and it stands for return to player.' It’s a way of telling players (theoretically) what percentage of their stakes will be returned over the long term. RTP rates are usually somewhere between 94% - 96% although I’d expect to see them nearer to 96% nowadays. The 2 Wild 2 Die slot game is 96.25% which is above average so a fairly decent amount.

Hacksaw Gaming, like most providers, uses the RTP as a default value so you’ll find different RTP rates across various operator sites. We’ve identified a few rates at some of the top UK online casinos and added them to the table below for you.

RTP is just one consideration to think about when deciding which site to play at. Other factors such as the number of games, customer services, options for payment choices and welcome bonuses and deals are also worth considering. You can read about all of these factors plus many more when you read our OLBG casino reviews.

Stake Range

Options for stakes start at £0.10 and go right up to £100 for the 2 Wild 2 Die game.

Max Win

The max win is 15,000x your stake for the 2 Wild 2 Die game.

Wild Shape

The Wild symbols substitutes for all symbols in the paytable.

Free Spins

There are 4 free spins bonus to tell you about. Firstly there is the Shootin' Wild! Bonus rounds. Landing 4 FS scatter symbols in the base game will activate the   Shootin' Wild! bonus feature with 10 free spins. During this round all Wilds with multipliers become sticky and stay on the grid until the end of the feature. You'll enter the Most Wanted! Bonus round when you land 3 Scatters. During the round, the game transforms and only Revolver symbols, Reload symbols and non-paying symbols appear on the grid. Six wanted posters with multiplier values are displayed above the grid. The Wanted Posters can either be multiplying or adding multipliers. Possible values for the wanted posters with adding multipliers range between 2x - 500x. Possible values for multiplying multipliers are x2 - x20. If you land extra Scatters during these bonus rounds you'll receive extra free spins, 2 Scatters = 2 spins and 3 Scatters = 4 spins.

Next up are the 'best of' bonus rounds. First up is the Best of Most Wanted! Bonus which triggers when you land 3 Scatters at the same time as a Best on Bonus symbol in the base game. This feature awards three Most Wanted! Bonus features in a row, playing them out in full before storing the result on the scoreboard next to the grid. At the end of the third and final round, the highest value from the scoreboard is awarded and multiplied with your bet to determine the final win amount! Secondly, there is the The Best of Shootin' Wild! Bonus which is triggered by landing 4 Scatters at the same time as a BEST OF BONUS scatter symbol in the base game. This feature awards three Shootin’ Wild! Bonus features in a row, playing them out in full before storing the result on the scoreboard next to the grid. At the end of the third and final Shootin’ Wild! Bonus, the highest value from the scoreboard is awarded and multiplied with your bet to determine the final win amount.

Jackpot

There’s not a jackpot element within the 2 Wild 2 Die game, which is the case in most slot games nowadays. If jackpots are your thing you should visit this page with the best jackpot slot games.

Play Experience & First Impressions

The free spins bonus rounds had many elements to them but they were pretty easy to follow and were well designed. There was a big focus on Wilds and Wilds Mutilpuers which is always a thumbs up in my book. The Most Wanted! Bonus round shown below was especially enjoyable due to the wanted posters on top of the grid showing multiplier values and these can go up to a massive 500x.

The Silver & Gold Revolver symbols can create wins and looked effective on the grid. These land with 1-6 bullets and fire bullets into random positions on the grid. Firstly, each time a position is hit for the first time by a Silver Revolver it becomes a Wild Symbol. When a position is hit more than once, a random multiplier is added to the Wild Symbol which turns it into a Wild Multiplier. Secondly,   When a position is hit by a Golden Revolver symbol it immediately becomes a Wild Multiplier. In the base game and Shootin’ Wild! bonus, the Golden Revolvers always fire before any Silver Revolvers that are on the grid. The Wild Multipliers values range between 2x - 200x.

Expert Verdict

Written by our Slots Content Manager Jenny Mason

I love Hacksaw games at the moment - they are on fire, the last two games of Dark Summoning and Immortal Desire were highly entertaining, plus the several games released before this. So with this game it looks like this trend will continue into 2024. The graphics, theme and features were well designed and the guns firing on the grid worked fantastically, especially alongside the Wilds and Multipliers mechanics. I'm not especially a fan of the Wild West but the genre translates well into slot games and makes for an immersive experience with the music, style and setting and this game is an excellent example of this. I will go back and play 2 Wild 2 Die again - there's no tumbleweed to be seen here - just lots of Wilds action!
