Conor McGregor is now 3/1 favourite to be the first to fight at the Las Vegas Sphere
MMA Fighter and Boxer Conor McGregor has shortened into 3/1 favourite to be the first fighter to scrap at the Las Vegas Sphere with bookies continuing to offer odds.
McGregor has been popular in the media once again this month after appearing in the reboot of Roadhouse and his popularity as always sees him linked with multiple different events going forward.
The Irish UFC fighter himself said earlier this month that he wants a trilogy fight against Nate Diaz at the Sphere on Mexican Independence Day and that he has told Dana White that.
"I wish for this on Mexican independence day in the Sphere. Chandler, June. Diaz, September. I have let this be known," he told Oscar Willis at The Mac Life.
His current betting odds now say there's a 25% chance that he is the first to fight at the Vegas Sphere and September could well be the date that is pencilled in.

What the expert says...
Francis Ngannou remains a short price and is just behind McGregor in the betting market
MMA fighter turned Boxer Francis Ngannou remains short in the betting market at 7/2 although his stock will have fallen following his defeat to Anthony Joshua last month.
Ngannou was knocked out by Joshua in the second round of their bout in Saudi Arabia last month in what was a vicious finish after he was knocked down three times.
The Cameroonian also could return to the UFC and fight in MMA again but he had previously fallen out with Dana White around the money that was offered for him to keep fighting for the promotion.

UFC CEO Dana White revealed the promotion has the Sphere booked for September
Dana White, CEO of MMA promotion UFC told reporters towards the back end of 2023 that his promotion have booked the MSG Sphere for September 14th.
White said that the promotion have booked the arena to honour Mexican Independence weekend with the holiday falling on September 16th.
The UFC CEO admitted that it would be a "massive challenge" but that it'll be "the greatest live combat sports show anybody has ever seen."
It's thought that a massive name wouldn't be needed to sellout there due to the spectacle that it will be, but knowing White he will want big fights to be put on the card.
