The UK & Ireland bid for Euro 2028 is the 1/20 favourite to win according to latest betting odds

According to the latest bookie odds, the UK & Ireland bid for the 2028 Euros has a 95% chance of winning and hosting the Euros later this decade.

Reports earlier this year said that the bid will be uncontested giving them a free path to hosting the tournament but that has changed with Turkey entering the process.

Smarkets make the UK & Ireland bid the heavy favourite to host the Euros at 1/20 and judging by those odds it looks almost certain to happen.

Euro 2028 Hosts Odds Probability
UK & Ireland 1/20 95.2%
Turkey 25/1 3.8%

Turkey are the second favourites to host the tournament in what is a two horse race

Turkey are second favourites to host the 2028 Euros at odds of 25/1, but they're still a long way off the odds compared to the UK and Ireland bid.

Turkey's bid is the country's sixth consecutive bid for the Euros, having been unsuccessful on the last 5 occasions in 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020 and 2024.

Judging by the latest betting odds it looks likely that it'll be the 6th bid in a row in which they will be unsuccessful.
