Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim now 16/1 to be the next manager to leave
Manchester United's dismal season continued on Super Sunday with a 1-0 defeat against Tottenham seeing them slide down to 15th in the Premier League table.
That defeat has seen bookmakers slash Ruben Amorim's odds of being the next manager to leave with the latest betting market seeing him enter the top five favourites at 16/1.
Amorim's issues in midfield have been made worse by injuries to Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte, with Amad Diallo also set to miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury.
William Hill's latest market sees Ruben Amorim now at 16/1 to leave next with just four managers sitting above him in the betting odds.
Next Premier League Manager To Leave | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Ange Postecoglou | 1/1 | 50.0% |
Ruud van Nistelrooy | 13/8 | 38.1% |
Enzo Maresca | 10/1 | 9.1% |
Ivan Juric | 11/1 | 8.3% |
Ruben Amorim | 16/1 | 5.9% |
What the expert says...
Ange Postecoglou still favourite despite Tottenham's 1-0 win against United
Tottenham were the latest side to take three points off Amorim's Manchester United on Sunday but that win did not ease the pressure enough on Ange Postecoglou to see him drift in the market.
Postecoglou still sits at evens in the odds list to be the next Premier League manager to go despite all noise out of Tottenham being that they will back the Australian going forward.
Spurs have been depleted by injuries this season which has caused an inconsistency of form throughout the campaign but players returning on Sunday and an important three points will hopefully kick start their season for Tottenham fans.

The Sack Race: Betting on the Next Manager to be Sacked
Ruud van Nistelrooy moves into 13/8 after Leicester's loss to Arsenal
Leicester manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has been in and around the top of the Sack Race betting market in the past few weeks and that has not changed with the Foxes losing 2-0 to Arsenal on Saturday.
That loss now sees Leicester as short as 1/9 to be relegated this season with Ipswich and Southampton also odds on to go down with bookmakers expecting the three promoted sides to go straight back down.
Leicester's lack of spending in January has seen his team lack any sort of creativity going forward whilst also struggling defensively and Van Nistelrooy now faces a huge task of keeping his side up.
