A new era of British Politics got underway this week with Rishi Sunak becoming the new Prime Minister after Liz Truss resigned from the position.

Bookmakers are already giving specials on Sunak's reign including odds around the next General Election, whenever that may be.

According to the odds, there's just an 11% chance that Sunak increases the Conservative Majority at next General Election, which is currently at 80 seats.

BetVictor make it 1/25 that there is no increase in seats at the next General Election for the Conservative party against the 8/1 odds that there will be.

Sunak's exit date is expected to be 2025 or later according to the odds

Rishi Sunak is expected to last longer than the 45 days in which Liz Truss was in office for although it's 20/1 that he is replaced at some point in 2020.

2025 or later is expected to be Sunak's exit date with the next General Election not due until January 2025.

It may well be that we see Sunak leave the role earlier though with the political chaos that's taken place in the last 12 months showing that anything can happen.

Such is which the state of UK politics lately that bookies are already giving odds on who would replace Rishi Sunak next.

The next Conservative Leader odds have Kemi Badenoch as the 5/1 favourite to take over from Sunak whenever that may be.

Badenoch was re-appointed as trade minister and also given the role of equalities minister on Tuesday and looks likely to remain in the cabinet for Sunak's term.
