Jeremy Corbyn is 5/4 to win a seat as an Independent MP at next election
Former Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn is 5/4 with bookmakers to win a seat as an Independent MP at the next election.
Reports earlier in the year suggested that Corbyn has privately accepted that he will never be reinstated as a Labour MP.
This would therefore mean that if he'll want to remain as an MP it will more than likely have to be as an Independent MP as he is now.
Will Jeremy Corbyn win a seat at the next election? | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
No | 4/6 | 60.0% |
Yes | 5/4 | 44.4% |
According to the bookies, there's more chance of Corbyn not winning a seat than there is of him winning one, with the former Labour leader a controversial figure to say the least.
If he was to run again, it would more than likely be in North Islington again where he's currently MP despite the whip not being restored.
Jeremy Corbyn will likely remain an Independent MP for the next election and is 5/4 to win a seat whenever that may be.

Corbyn still features in the Next Labour Leader market at 100/1
The Next Labour Leader betting market is always an interesting one with the current reign of Keir Starmer not hitting the heights it was expected.
With Boris Johnson having an extremely controversial reign, it would be expected that the leader of the opposition would come on leaps and bounds.
That hasn't been the case though and betting is already available for the next Leader of the Labour party, with Jeremy Corbyn still featuring in that market at 100/1.
It's Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham who leads the way in the market though, with his odds at 9/2 making him the clear favourite above everyone else.
Current Prime Minister Boris Johnson remains under pressure in his role
Boris Johnson continues to be under pressure in his role as the Prime Minister with MP's calling for his head seemingly every day at the moment.
Johnson won the dreaded no confidence vote, but the manner in his win has caused even more worry about his strength in the role as Prime Minister.
Jeremy Hunt is the 4/1 favourite to take over from Boris Johnson as the next leader of the Conservative Party if there are any changes on the way.
Jeremy Hunt remains the favourite to be the next Conservative Leader with Boris Johnson remaining under pressure in his current role.
