Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is the early favourite with bookies to win this year's Nobel Peace Prize with the Ukraine/Russia conflict continuing.

The people of Ukraine have already ranked him as Ukraine's greatest president due to his handling of Russia's invasion of the country with his leadership also getting praise across the globe.

Paddy Power give Zelenskyy a 6/1 chance of winning the Nobel Peace Prize which is usually announced in October before being presented in Oslo, Norway in December.

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny is the joint second favourite with a 11.8% chance of winning the award and could be a big figure in 2023.

Navalny has been in prison for two years since returning to Russia from Germany where he was treated for poisoning from a Soviet-era nerve agent.

Bookies also have Zelenskyy in the betting to win Time Person of the Year for a second year in a row

Zelenskyy is also a contender for this year's Time Person of the Year award after winning the award last year.

Bookies give him a 16% chance of winning it again this year with Elon Musk the early favourite for the award as the Twitter CEO is expected to have another big year.

Musk is constantly in the news due to his running of Twitter after taking over towards the end of 2022 and it'll be no different throughout the rest of the year.
