Chris Wilder is the 2/1 favourite to become the next Hearts manager
Current Watford manager Chris Wilder is the 2/1 favourite with UK Betting Sites to become the next Hearts manager with the search underway for the next manager of the club.
Robbie Neilson's tenure as Hearts boss came to an end earlier this month with five defeats in a row seeing the club get knocked out of the Scottish Cup and slip down to 4th spot in the league.
There are a number of potential candidates to takeover at Tynecastle next but it's Chris Wilder who is the 2/1 favourite with BetVictor to become the next manager of Hearts.
Wilder looks set to leave Watford at the end of the season with the club already having to issue a statement that he'll be staying on as manager until at least the end of the season and a move up to Scotland could be next up.
Next Hearts Manager | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Chris Wilder | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Steven Naismith | 5/1 | 16.7% |
Frankie McAvoy | 8/1 | 11.1% |
Stephen Robinson | 8/1 | 11.1% |
Paul Lambert | 20/1 | 4.8% |
What the expert says..
Chris Wilder now has a 33% chance of becoming the next Hearts manager with the Watford manager expected to leave the club at the end of the season.
Current interim manager Steven Naismith is 5/1 to take over on a permanent basis
Steven Naismith's start to life as interim boss of Hearts began in pain with a 1-0 defeat to rivals Hibernian, their first loss in the derby since 2019, and they'll have to turn it around to have any chance of a third place spot.
That loss was Hearts 6th loss in a row and they're now 5 points behind Aberdeen and just three points above 7th placed Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership table.
Hearts' season has a real chance of imploding unless results turn around fast and Saturday's home match to bottom side Ross County gives them a chance of changing their fortunes round.
Hearts are now 11/4 to finish in the Top 3 this season
Hearts are 11/4 to finish in the Top 3 in the Scottish Premiership this season as they sit 5 points behind Aberdeen in the league table.
The Dons are now odds-on at 4/9 to finish in the Top 3 in the league this campaign and it looks increasingly likely that they'll do so.
Celtic are 1/1000 to win the league this year with their 12 point lead at the top of the table looking impossible to throw away at this point.
Scottish Premiership Top 3 finish | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Aberdeen | 4/9 | 69.2% |
Hearts | 11/4 | 26.7% |
Hibernian | 11/1 | 8.3% |
St Mirren | 14/1 | 6.7% |
What the expert says..
Hearts now have a 26% chance of finishing in the Top 3 this season with the club currently sat 5 points behind the Dons in the Premiership table.
