Odds now given on the outcome of Manchester City's 115 charges with points deduction now evens
Betting sites continue to offer odds on the outcome of Manchester City's historic 115 charges trial which sees the Premier League go against them for alleged financial irregularity issues.
Reports earlier this year suggested that we will see the case last for around three months and that came true earlier this month with the trial wrapping up after 12 weeks last Friday.
Early odds suggested that a fine could be the action with a 2/1 chance of it happening back in October but those odds have changed right around now.
The latest betting market now goes evens that City will receive a points deduction as the outcome of the trial with odds continuing to be offered.
Man City 115 Charges Outcome | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Points Deduction | 1/1 | 50.0% |
Fined | 5/2 | 28.6% |
Expulsion from Premier League | 16/1 | 5.9% |
Trophies rescinded | 20/1 | 4.8% |
Club folds | 33/1 | 2.9% |
What the expert says...
City's season in tatters after poor run of form
Pep Guardiola's team aren't just finding trouble off the pitch but on it as well with the Sky Blues now out to 10/1 to win the Premier League this season.
City sit in 4th in the Premier League table and 8 points off leaders Liverpool, with the Reds having game in hand after the Merseyside Derby was postponed at the weekend.
Guardiola will be hoping to turn his team's fortunes around this season but it doesn't get any easier for them with a tricky away fixture against Juventus in the Champions League followed by the Manchester Derby on Sunday.
Trial wrapped up on Friday according to recent reports
After getting underway at the International Dispute Resolution Centre in London on September 16 the Premier League vs Man City trial wrapped up on Friday December 6.
It's expected that a decision will be announced in Spring with March the month that has been reported by various news sources in the past few days.
Sky Sports say that both sides will have the right to appeal though after any announcement and that will likely see the case continue well into the second half of 2025.
