Birmingham are 2/1 favourites to win League One this season

With the EFL returning in just over a week's time, betting sites are now offering odds on who will win League One this season with Birmingham City the clear favourites in the betting market.

Chris Davies spent last season on Ange Postecoglou's coaching staff and he's now taken over the Blues as his first managerial job with the latest odds putting his side at 2/1 to win the league in his first season in charge.

Birmingham have recruited brilliantly and kept hold of strong players too with Juninho Bacuna and Alfie May just two players in a squad that is expected to be far too strong for League One football.

Bet365's latest market puts the Blues at the top of the betting odds with an implied probability of 33.3% that they win the title in their first season back in the third tier for 29 years.

Alfie May leads the betting odds to finish as Top Goalscorer in League One

Last season's League One Golden Boot winner Alfie May joined Birmingham this summer on a three-year deal from Charlton Athletic.

The move was part of Birmingham's plans to get straight back up to the Championship this season and how better to do so than buying the top scorer in the division for the new season.

Bookies have instantly placed him as the clear favourite in the betting odds to finish as the Top Scorer in League One this season with the latest odds putting him well ahead of any other player in the market.

Crawley Town are odds-on to go straight back down to League Two

Crawley Town are the odds-on favourites to be relegated from League One this season after they were promoted last season following their 2-0 English League Two play-off final victory against Crewe Alexandra.

American co-chairman PrestoN Johnson immediately announced after that that he would be stepping down from his position but would remain as co-owner of the club.

Having lost a big chunk of their promotion winning squad it could well be that the odds are correct, with the latest probability of them being relegated currently sitting at 60% judging by the odds.
