Biden still sits as US President after stepping down from race for the next term

President Biden’s 52 years in electoral politics will come to an end when his term finishes after he stepped down from running for US President following a disastrous debate showing in June.

Fast forward more than two month's later and we have a clearer picture of how the future of US Politics looks with the President throwing his full backing behind his Vice President Kamala Harris in running.

59-year-old Harris has become a natural successor to Biden in the race for US President and those weeks since he endorsed her candidacy have seen her stay quiet in the spotlight to fully prepare for her time running for President.

Kamala Harris moves into favourite to win US Presidential Election after strong showing in debate

Last night, Tuesday 10 September, saw Harris come up against Donald Trump in their Presidential debate with an intriguing 90 minutes seeing a strong performance from the Democratic candidate.

Trump was repeatedly rattled by Harris with the Vice President having digs at the size of Trump's rallies, how he conducted himself during the January 6 riots and various other comments.

Betting markets now say that Harris won that debate as the odds on her winning the US Presidential Election changed throughout the debate, with Bet365 now putting her at odds-on to win.

Further positivity for the Harris campaign came after the debate with Taylor Swift endorsing Harris for president saying she would vote for her "because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them".
