Bookmakers are now officially offering odds on what James Blunt's new name will be
British musician James Blunt has promised to legally change his name to the public's most popular pick if the re-release of his album Back to Bedlam hits the Number One spot this month.
Betway are now offering odds on what he will change his name to after he asked his fans on X, formerly Twitter, to pick a new name for him.
The latest odds from betting sites have Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Pop Star Four Chord Song Machiney and Divock Origi as the joint favourites at 12/1 to be Blunt's next name.
This specific market says that Blunt must have changed his name by 1st January 2025 or all bets are void and the two favourites have a 7.7% chance of being chosen as his next name.
With Back to Bedlam having big hits such as You're Beautiful on there and Blunt having a huge amount of fans, there's a decent chance he grabs the top spot.

What the expert says...
Blunt will change his name legally if his next album reaches Number One
Blunt announced a new viral campaign on social media last month with his #JamesWho post stating that he'll legally change his name if Back to Bedlam hits number one again.
The original release of the record back in October 2004 sits at 17th on the list of the best-selling in UK chart history with the biggest single from that album You're Beautiful remaining the biggest of Blunt's career.
Other popular songs on the album include Goodbye My Lover and High and Friday 11 October will see the rerelease officially launch with a Number One spot hopefully on the way for the singer.

Football fans have jumped onto the trend with former Liverpool player joint favourite
Football fans love to jump on a trending topic on social media and it's no different here with various accounts replying to Blunt's original post with famous footballer names.
The Guardian's Deputy Football Editor Sachin Nakrani replied to Blunt's post with former Liverpool player Divock Origi with that post getting 20,000 likes at the time of writing.
Our quick view of the replies puts this as the big leader in terms of likes but it may well be that any sort of sport star name is ignored by Blunt for legal reasons and he goes with a completely made up name instead.
Divock Origi.
